Day 9: Something I'm proud of in the past few days...
Well, yesterday I went to the mall and bought a REALLY cute pink purse and matching wallet...does that count? I'm very proud that I own it...ha, and that I was able to buy it with my own money! :D Um, let's see...a couple of days ago I totally winged a test and got an "A". That definitely put a smile on my face. I am also very proud of myself for sticking with this blogging challenge...this is really a BIG step for me...just sayin! :D

Day 8: Short term goals for this month and why.
This month...
I am going to get better at cleaning my room. :D I am really getting tired of messiness.
I am going to start exercising everyday. I need to get in shape.
I am going to drink lots more water. I don't even get anywhere near 8 glasses a day.
I am also going to try to be a better, happier person. I really need that in my life.

Day 7: A picture of someone/something that has had the greatest impact on you.
My dad has had the biggest impact on my life. He was the greatest person on earth. He would give you the shirt off his back, the shoes off his feet...one time he even gave away his CAR to this newlywed couple that had broke down on the side of the road. He was the kindest person that I have ever known. He only ever lived for other people. He had a great sense of humor as well.
To my dad, no one was a stranger. If you were ever in the presence of him, you were treated like a great friend. He talked to EVERYONE...sometimes this wasn't always a great thing to a little girl that just wanted to get the HECK out of the Checker Auto store. :D
He knew everything as well. He taught me so much about all kinds of stuff, from fixing things to genuine life lessons. He was always my go-to man. I learned so much about the gospel from him too. I love my daddy with all my heart. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him in some way. I will never stop loving or missing him.
I only wish that the people that never got the extraordinary blessing of having him in their life, could know what an amazing person he really truly was. I am extremely grateful for all of the many many memories I have of him. I cannot even express the love I have for this man. I know that I will see him again, and that he is up there rooting for me to succeed in my life in every possible way.
I know that I can never tell you in words just how amazing he was, but I hope that this post give you some idea. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DADDY!!!

Day 6: Favorite Superhero and Why.
My favorite superhero is and has always been Batman. I absolutely love him. I know that SOME people don't "qualify" him as a super hero because he technically does not have "super" powers. But to me, he TOTALLY is. I mean...he's Batman...who doesn't love him?
From the cartoon character
to Michael Keaton
to Christian Bale (my preferred Batman... :D)
Anyways...you can argue all you want on how Batman is not a superhero...but to me, he is...and no one will change my mind!!! :D

Day 4: A habit you wish you did not have
I have a ton of habits that I wish I didn't have. Let's see...I'll just name one of those annoying habits. I have the WORST habit of throwing my clothes on my bedroom floor when I'm done with them. I have a hamper right in my room...not to mention the laundry room is the NEXT DOOR down the hall...yeah, I know it's bad. I constantly start over every time I clean my room telling myself that this is it, I have had it and I am going to keep my room CLEAN this time. Well, my dirty clothes give me a nasty stare down every weekend when I go clean my room as a result of my goal failing...AGAIN. And yes, I'm still working on my goal for the new week seeing that I did not have time to clean my room this weekend. I know what you're thinking...G*R*O*S*S...I'll let you know how it goes once I conquer this awful habit. :D

Day 3: A picture of you and your friends
Ok...I know this is a really lame picture, but it's the most recent picture I have of me with some friends (in this case, one...Miss Jenny Curtis and my sister, Lacey Morton) :D
Haha, this was the first day I got my Laptop. :D Good times...

Day 2: The meaning behind my blog name.
According to Me
Well...I have not really thought about the meaning of the name...but this is my blog, so everything is 'According to Me'. I guess it means that I have my own opinions and this is the place that I can go to state those. If people don't agree, it's fine with me, because this site is just 'According to Me'....oh my gosh, I did not mean to rhyme there! hahahahahaha Anyways...this is a really cheesy post, but there you have it...the meaning behind my blog name!! :DFriday, April 1, 2011
Day 1: A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself.
(This picture was taken by my lovely little sister, Lacey. You can check out her photography blog here.)
1. I am a GREAT Aunt. And no, not like I'm 'awesome'...I'm literally a great aunt. haha I have 17 nieces and nephews and I have 8 great nieces and nephews with 1 great nephew on the way!!
2. I LOVE music. Without it I would be nothing. It gets me through everyday.
3. I am a reader. I absolutely love it. I hated to read up until 8th grade, and then I read Twilight, and that changed everything. (BTW: I used to be UBER obsessed with Twilight...but don't worry, I'm over it. Still like it, but so not obsessed.)
4. I try to be a clean freak...but I can sometimes be a slob...just take a look at my room right now. Actually don't cause that'd be weird. :D
5. I love singing. Just ask my family. You can normally always catch me singin a tune!
6. I made my first patch quilt this last fall and absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. I have loved sewing ever since I was a little girl. I once spend a whole week in the summer down on my grandpa and grandma's farm, sewing with my grandma. In the house, of course...not the farm! lol
7. I work at a call center in Pleasant Grove...it's not the FUNNEST job ever, but I love the people that I work with. They make the time fly!
8. I love my daddy with all my heart. I miss and think about him DAILY. The only thing that keeps me going is that I know I will see him again someday and that he is constantly looking after me.
9. I love being with my family more than anything. Family is definitely a big one for me. Whether it's my immediate family or my extended family, I enjoy it all the same!!
10. I cannot wait for the day that I can walk out of my High School for good. I am going to UVU in the fall. I'm still a little undecided on what my career is going to be FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE...but I'm workin on it!
11. I have a little, black Toy Poodle named Bostyn. I love her so much. She is such a happy addition to our family and constantly keeps us laughing.
12. I am totally in LOVE with Disneyland and CANNOT wait to go again for Spring Break with my mom and little sister. It's going to be a BLAST...you can be jealous...it's OK. ;D
13. I love Aerobics and I really need to do it more!
14. I really enjoy watching plays. I have only seen two Broadway shows and neither of them were in New York (someday hopefully...). I've seen 'The Lion King' in Vegas (Which by the way was INCREDIBLE) and I've seen 'Wicked' in Salt Lake (Also WONDERFUL...highly recommend it). So along with this obsession of plays...musicals preferably...comes the obsession with the Broadway soundtracks...come on, you really can't have one without the other. And I'll admit...I'm not really that hardcore as I'm making myself sound. I only have two Broadway soundtracks on my iPod ('Wicked' and 'The Phantom of the Opera') but I do really really enjoy them.
15. I'm not perfect...but I constantly try to work on my imperfections. I'm also not the best at that either, but hey...aren't we all just humans?

Just a Little Peak into my Day!
Today seemed like...well, not a school day that's for sure! I went to school, only to remember that it was a minimal day, so we got out at 12:25. Don't ask me what that is...I just know I get to go home early. :D Yay!
I went to the bank today with my mom and sister after school. We went there to get me a credit card and checks...I feel so GROWN UP! haha The credit card has only a little amount on it and I am going to just pretend that it's my debit card so that I NEVER go over, or go into debt (that's the plan anyway... :D Just kidding...I can be responsible when I want to!). My mom says that I need to start building my credit, and I totally agree with her! :D
I also got me some checks! They are super cute and I can't wait till they arrive so that I can write my first one, which by the way is going to Miss Lacey Morton for cleaning my room on Saturday (believe me, it was worth paying her to do it instead...haha)!!
After we went to the bank, we went to lunch at Subway...delicious!!...and then to Wally-World for this and that! Overall...it was a great day!! Nothing too exciting at work, just the same old thing (angry people DEMANDING their $$$$)
Until next time! XOXOXOXOXOXO

Spring Break?

W*O*R*K
So I work at a call center right? I deal with lots of angry people that have their mind set on one thing...their money. Well I'm not supposed to give them their money, so this usually results in a HUGE headache for me...literally...and people that have now turned from angry to IRATE!!
I do feel for these people, believe me, I do have a heart
(Let me just add something in here...I was on a call about 5 minutes ago and this lady was testing out her vocal levels on me, I put her on hold (a little longer than necessary I might add...I was in no hurry to talk to her again) to see if I could issue a refund. I processed the refund and got back on the phone. She was very quiet now...I asked her if there was anything else that I could help her with and she said, "Yes...I just wanted to apologize for raising my voice. I feel really bad about that...I just don't like it when I'm told one thing and then another." I told her that everything was good and wished her a great day.) - Just thought that was a little comical. :D **BTW: This was on ThursdayAnyways...I can't really complain much about my job, it pays BANK and I have really good hours. Thank goodness for jobs...right? Well at least that's what I tell myself every two weeks on payday...I tend to forget this the rest of the days.

Any Good Books?
For me, books are like food.
I NEED them to survive.
Reading is one of my most favorite past times.
The only problem with this hobby of mine, is that there are A MILLION + + + + + books in the world, and I want to read all of them.
I have this HUGE list of books to read, and I'm constantly searching for great book reviews.
So if you have any...post a comment for me and hopefully, sometime in my lifetime, I'll be able to read it.
But I will definitely add it to me continually growing list. :D
XOXO
Just a Little Quote...
When one door of happiness closes,
another opens,
but often we look so long at the closed door
that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.

Bedspread Nightmare!
So if y'all will scroll down the page to my bedspread and take a second to reminisce on it's FORMER beauty..........Now that that is over, let me take a minute to tell you the horrifying story of a bedspread that was once beautiful!! But first, let me start at the beginning...
It all started with the fact that one morning I woke up to find that I had about 30 bites all up both sides of my torso! (GROSS, I know. You weren't the one that had them.) I thought nothing of them other than it sucks to have been bitten 30 times. They didn't itch, they hurt. Well, I had just spent the last couple of nights at my brothers house, so I figured that something got me there. When I came back home, everyone thought that it was BED BUGS!! EEW!
I guess bed bugs transfer from house to house, so that meant that since I didn't find out that I had bites on me until after I got home, I had already transferred them to my room (soon to be my whole house!). So I had to totally decontaminate my room by removing EVERYTHING and washing what I could. (Now here's were the bedspread comes into the story.)
So washing everything included my bedspread. I made sure to read the tag before washing it like any smart person that cared about their bedspread would do (and if you ever washed something without looking at the tag, I'm not calling you dumb...ok maybe a little. :D) I did just what it said: "Wash with like colors, no bleach, in front load washer and dryer." I even washed it ALONE!
Well about X amount of hours later when it was done, I pulled it out...AND IT WAS BLUE!! BLUE!! So I had my mom call the company and tell them what happened. It's not like ti was really my fault either, I did everything it said to do. So the lady on the phone said they would see if they had any in stock and send me a new one, and if not then I just wanted my money back.
So about 2 weeks later, I got a package at the front door. YAY! I can finally sleep with an actual bedspread instead of quilt that was too little for my bed! I excitedly open the box, only to find...they sent me a KING size bedspread, now mind you I have a TWIN! Tell me please how that's supposed to work?!?!?
To be continued, my mom still hasn't called them back yet! :D

Reality Check!
Wow, sorry it's been so long! I tell ya, I am really bad at these posts. It's probably because nothing too exciting has happened. Well, I don't know how to start so I'm just going to throw some things out there!
XOXOXOXO
- I am the Drill Team Manager at Uintah High! So far it has been fun. I haven't done a ton of things, but I help the coach, Whitney, and the assistant coach, Mickenzie, with things that they need! I get to do things with the team, and I even get warm-ups with my name on it! Haha, I just don't dance, which is good, cause I'm not sure that would be a pretty sight! :D
- I think I'm liking school alright. It isn't my favorite, but I think it's because I don't know a ton of people, and I'm really bad at making friends, so that doesn't help! But I do miss PG High. I am taking fun classes though. I'm in Designer Quilting and I'm making the cutest quilt you have ever seen (not to toot my own horn, I'm just being honest, honesty is the best policy! LOL) I'll definitely have to post pictures when it's done. I am also taking Interior Design, and that's been really fun.
- I really LOVE being out here with my family. I am a really family oriented person, so being close to my brothers out here really makes me happy. Even though I do miss my mom and my sister terribly, I do still see them!
- I really like working for my brother, Rick. He has his own business called "ACME Truck Line, Inc." I am kinda like his (and his wife, Holly's) personal assistant. I do whatever they need me to do (business related or not). I really enjoy it.
- I went on a date this past Friday night with a guy named Thomas. We doubled with my niece Crysta and her date, Charley. I had fun and everything, but let's just say there probably won't be another one. :D
XOXOXOXO
