Bedspread Nightmare!

So if y'all will scroll down the page to my bedspread and take a second to reminisce on it's FORMER beauty..........Now that that is over, let me take a minute to tell you the horrifying story of a bedspread that was once beautiful!! But first, let me start at the beginning...

It all started with the fact that one morning I woke up to find that I had about 30 bites all up both sides of my torso! (GROSS, I know. You weren't the one that had them.) I thought nothing of them other than it sucks to have been bitten 30 times. They didn't itch, they hurt. Well, I had just spent the last couple of nights at my brothers house, so I figured that something got me there. When I came back home, everyone thought that it was BED BUGS!! EEW!
I guess bed bugs transfer from house to house, so that meant that since I didn't find out that I had bites on me until after I got home, I had already transferred them to my room (soon to be my whole house!). So I had to totally decontaminate my room by removing EVERYTHING and washing what I could. (Now here's were the bedspread comes into the story.)
So washing everything included my bedspread. I made sure to read the tag before washing it like any smart person that cared about their bedspread would do (and if you ever washed something without looking at the tag, I'm not calling you dumb...ok maybe a little. :D) I did just what it said: "Wash with like colors, no bleach, in front load washer and dryer." I even washed it ALONE!
Well about X amount of hours later when it was done, I pulled it out...AND IT WAS BLUE!! BLUE!! So I had my mom call the company and tell them what happened. It's not like ti was really my fault either, I did everything it said to do. So the lady on the phone said they would see if they had any in stock and send me a new one, and if not then I just wanted my money back.
So about 2 weeks later, I got a package at the front door. YAY! I can finally sleep with an actual bedspread instead of quilt that was too little for my bed! I excitedly open the box, only to find...they sent me a KING size bedspread, now mind you I have a TWIN! Tell me please how that's supposed to work?!?!?

To be continued, my mom still hasn't called them back yet! :D

Reality Check!

Wow, sorry it's been so long! I tell ya, I am really bad at these posts. It's probably because nothing too exciting has happened. Well, I don't know how to start so I'm just going to throw some things out there!

• I am the Drill Team Manager at Uintah High! So far it has been fun. I haven't done a ton of things, but I help the coach, Whitney, and the assistant coach, Mickenzie, with things that they need! I get to do things with the team, and I even get warm-ups with my name on it! Haha, I just don't dance, which is good, cause I'm not sure that would be a pretty sight! :D
• I think I'm liking school alright. It isn't my favorite, but I think it's because I don't know a ton of people, and I'm really bad at making friends, so that doesn't help! But I do miss PG High. I am taking fun classes though. I'm in Designer Quilting and I'm making the cutest quilt you have ever seen (not to toot my own horn, I'm just being honest, honesty is the best policy! LOL) I'll definitely have to post pictures when it's done. I am also taking Interior Design, and that's been really fun.
• I really LOVE being out here with my family. I am a really family oriented person, so being close to my brothers out here really makes me happy. Even though I do miss my mom and my sister terribly, I do still see them!
• I really like working for my brother, Rick. He has his own business called "ACME Truck Line, Inc." I am kinda like his (and his wife, Holly's) personal assistant. I do whatever they need me to do (business related or not). I really enjoy it.
• I went on a date this past Friday night with a guy named Thomas. We doubled with my niece Crysta and her date, Charley. I had fun and everything, but let's just say there probably won't be another one. :D

Let The Party Begin!

Quick update: We made it to Vernal Wednesday night at around 9:00 p.m. Lacey and my mom are here with me, helping me get settled. I painted my room a limeish green today! It's super cute!! I'm just now waiting for the paint to dry so we can do the second coat. I'll have to post a picture when it's all done! I've been kinda busy and nothing too exciting has happened so that's why I haven't posted recently. Talk to you later when something fantastic happens!! :D

Wow, I'm cheesy, I know! :D So today is THE DAY! I've got pretty much all my things in the car, just a couple more things to go that I still need to use, like my shampoo and makeup, etc. I went school shopping yesterday and let me tell you, I'm pretty ecstatic! I got some really cute shirts and jeans that I'm really excited about!

I can't wait to just be out there and start my "new life". I'm really excited to get my room done too! I bought a new bedspread yesterday!

So, I guess the plan is to leave sometime around 3 or 4 because my mom has a doctors appointment at 2:30. Vernal...Here I come! :D

Can You Say GROSS?

If only they were REALLY this cute...

So today my sister, Lacey, and I were driving to summer seminary (I had to go for make-up, lol). There we were basking in the sun with our windows rolled down, blasting our favorite song of the moment when I squirted my windshield with wiper fluid because, well, it was dirty...go figure! Anyways, there must have been a filthy wasp on the roof or something, (I have a hard time imagining that it would fly into a moving car)...the next thing I know there is something on my head, little did I know that it was a ravenous creature! I reached up nervously and felt around...something buzzed onto my hand between my pointer and middle fingers. I brought my hand down quickly only to find that it's one of the things in this beautiful world that SCARES ME THE MOST! A WASP!! (Now, don't forget that I'm still driving!) I instantaneously fling my hand like a mad woman, not taking into consideration where it might go, just wanting the hideous thing off me! The little nasty was flung right between Lacey's legs onto her lovely scriptures! Next, there was a jumble of chaos, as you can imagine. I'm yelling, "SQUISH IT, SQUISH IT!" Lacey's yelling, "I CAN'T, IT'S ON MY SCRIPTURES!" She flicks it onto the floor of the car and stomps on it! You didn't know that cats aren't the only ones with nine lives did you? IT WOULDN'T DIE!!! After like the third time of squishing, we finally had a lifeless bug. 
Now some may call us murderers, but I call it self defense! That's the last time any wasp tries to sting me, I'll tell you that right now! :D

Packin Up!

Today I'm finishing getting all my stuff together! I haven't really "packed" cause I just plan on throwing most of my stuff in my car. Like all my clothes in my closet are just staying on their hangers and being thrown into the backseat! Classy, I know!
I still can't really pinpoint my emotions! I think I'm a little bit more anxious as it gets closer though! I'm also kinda nervous because on the papers that I filled out at Uintah High for my "request for transcripts", I put my new Vernal address, and I'm kinda worried that I needed to put my PG address so that the people at PG High would know who the heck they were supposed to get the transcripts for! haha
So, hopefully everything in that department is going smooth! I still haven't even registered for classes yet! AW! :D
Well, I think I'm heading off to summer seminary to make up for an absence from last year...yeah, about that! ;)

My New Beginning

Alright! So I've decided to create a blog so that I can keep friends and family updated on my adventures in Vernal, Utah! :D
In case this is the first time you have heard about this, I am moving to Vernal on Wednesday August 18th! I will be living with my niece, Shelli, and her husband, Mike, and their two kids, Saydee (4yrs) and Chloe (1yrs). I'm super excited and happy, but I'm also way nervous and kinda sad! I'm scared because I'll be moving away from my Mom and my sister, Lacey. It's just something new that I never thought that I would have to experience until college. But, at the same time, I am way excited for a new start and new experiences!
I'm totally going to miss all of the people that I am leaving behind, but I am ready to take on a new school and new friends. Not that I WANT new friends over my friends that I have now, I'm just ready to get to know more people!
This decision was a really, really hard one for me to make. But with the help of the Lord and others, I have decided that it is the best one for me personally. With all of the things that I am dealing with in my life, I feel like I'm ready for a fun, exciting change.
For all the friends and family that I am leaving, I will be coming "home" often and I'll be able to see you! :D But when I'm not out here, in Pleasant Grove, you can see all that I'm up to here!! :D I hope that I'll be able to make this blog interesting and exciting!!
