Bethany Joy Lenz ft. Grace Potter!

I know I have shared this before, but Bethany Joy Lenz (formerly Bethany Joy Galeotti) is my ALL TIME favorite person in the world. I can't even begin to describe to you how much I adore, admire, and look up to her. Some people love people like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Johnny Cash, or Elvis Presley, but Joy will always be the one that I idolize. Again, I seriously wish that I could express to you just how much I
love her, but for now...please enjoy this song that she performed with Grace Potter on her show One Tree Hill.

Funnel Cakes @ Home

INGREDIENTS:
*I didn't veer at all from the original recipe here. I'm just adding pictures for this little how-to.
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups milk
3 2/3 cups flour
1/2 t salt
2 t baking powder
vegetable oil, for frying

DIRECTIONS:

1. Blend the eggs and sugar and then slowly mix in milk. Add in all the dry ingredients.

2. Pour batter into a funnel over a fryer (or a skillet/dutch oven with hot oil in it). Move the funnel around to make designs (you could also use a large spoon and drip it into the batter). *Your oil should be 350-380 degrees.

3. Leave the batter in the oil until you start seeing the top bubble (sort of like a pancake). This takes about two minutes. When it bubbles, take a spatula and flip the whole thing upside down to cook the other side. Let it cook for two more minutes-ish and you're done!

4. Remove from the oil onto a plate stacked with paper towels. Sprinkle with a generous serving of powdered sugar (or honey or cinnamon- whatever your little heart desires) and serve. YUM, YUM, YUM, YUM, YUM.

Seriously. Yum.

Have you ever made your own funnel cakes?
What's your favorite fair food?

New Hurr Dooo?

I really need to do something new with my hair! I mean, you can totally see my roots and that's so NOT acceptable ;)

I really want to do a melt, but I've seen some melts-gone-wrong and I'm a little scared to do it. This is what I am thinking...

I guess if it does go wrong I can always re-do it after a couple of weeks or chop it off...but still. I think I am most afraid of finding the right PERSON to do it. Melts are fairly new and I want someone that is extremely comfortable with them! So, if any of ya'll know someone that has done melts before (and good ones at that)...pleeeaasseee let me know! I'm dying to get this done!!

Also, let me know what you think of this, should I do it??

Sometimes a Job is More Than Just "Work".

Today was a wonderful day. All I can say is I absolutely love my job and the people I work with! I couldn't ask for more out of a company or more of my wonderful friends that work there! I have so much fun and get so much out of it, it's awesome. That is all.

Lady A Concert - Happy Valentine's

WOW it's been awhile! Sorry 'bout that!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Well today I went to the LADY ANTEBELLUM concert! It was SO FUN! I absolutely loved it! It was technically my first "legit" concert. I have been to the Stadium of Fire many times, which does have singers that perform, but I never really have counted that as a "concert". I don't know why...cause I guess it kinda is...but any-who... ;)

Here are some pictures!!

Update!

Dear Readers,
I realize it's been awhile since I actually wrote something, so I decided that I better get writing again. I'm sitting in the students center at UVU by Costa Vida. College life is great. I love being on my own, even though I do miss my family. I'm just glad that I can see them pretty much whenever I want/need to.
Finals are just around the corner and I don't know how I feel about that. On one hand, I am so excited for this semester to be over, but on the other hand, I'm a little nervous to experience the dreaded "finals week". I hear it's awful. Students walking around like zombies with their bloodshot, black eyes and Rockstars energy drinks. Lucky for me I don't have too many finals, but still...I can't wait for them to just be done.
I'm currently looking for another job. Not so that I can have two, but just another one entirely. I really dislike my job at Response. I really enjoy most of the people, but the actual job kills me. I sit on my butt for 4 hours EVERYDAY talking to people about going back to school. Most of these people don't even remember that they requested the information and are angry when we call them. Going back to school is a BIG decision and there are lots of factors that play into it. It's hard to try and convince someone to go back to school in a 3 minute phone call.
When people don't say "yes" to me, they leave me with no sells and the constant fear of my supervisors walking by me "to pull me into their office". I've never got in trouble so far at work, but they are always firing people because of low sales and such. This job is all about luck...there is no skill.
Anyways...you can see why I need another STABLE job.
Life as a whole is pretty boring right now. I am always working or doing school related things. I did have a great Thanksgiving break though. I went down to Hurricane and stayed at my Aunt's house. We had so much fun doing all sorts of random things. I love them so much and miss them like crazzzy. I wish they lived closer to us, or vise-versa!
Well, I'm all tired out. I haven't much more to say for now! I love you all!

Hurricane!

I am sitting down in Hurricane, Utah having a total BLAST! I miss my sister and my two wonderful cousins that aren't here though. Today we went up to some of the shops that are down at the mouth of Zions and walked around. I love being a "tourist" even though we haven't travels "that far".
We have been cooking all kinds of scrumptious foods and man has it been awesome! Right now I'm waiting for the dough to rise of these DELICIOUS bread-sticks...can't wait to dive it! :D

Movies I'm Looking Forward To!

These two movie are definitely on my "Watch List". I can't wait for either of them! Love, Wedding, Marriage looks like a fun chick flick and I can tell it's going to be so cute! Also, The Vow...WOW. I can see myself bawling through this one, but it looks so good! Hope you enjoy these, if you haven't already seen them yet!

Wacky Fashion and Beauty Tips!

Amp shine with vinegar
Mix one part vinegar with four parts carbonated water, and soak dry hair. Leave on for 15 minutes before you shampoo to lock in shine and combat dullness.

Press a tea bag on splotches
If you're sensitive or just looking irritated or puffy for some reason, steep a bag of green tea for a minute or two, let it cool down and dab it over your face. The antioxidants in the tea take down inflammation.

Spike lotion with bronzer
If you don't have time to book a self-tanning session, mix a few pumps of body bronzer with regular hand lotion and pat it on your legs for a gradual dose of sexy, beachy color.

Make an egg white mask
To revive tired and dull skin without hitting the spa table, try this: Crack open an egg in a bowl, separate the yolk, and use the egg whites to make a face mask. The proteins help to heal and restore skin's moisture. Leave it on for five minutes, rinse off! It's the protein in the egg white that seals in moisture in your face. So leave it on, then take a turkey baster and rinse off. It’s gentle for any skin type.

Brush on Hair Spray
For the final step of your blow-dry, spray hair spray onto your brush, and run it through strands from roots to tips. This way, your 'do isn't plastered and stiff but still holds volume and shine.

Boost Body Lotion with Baby Oil
If you're craving shiny legs that aren't greasy, blend a drop of baby oil into your normal body lotion for extra luster.

Dab Essential Oil on a Hangnail
Put on apricot oil, the kind found in health-food stores, to protect cuticles from turning rough and raggedy

Use Soap Without Water
You know those fancy bars that are actually too pretty to use? Toss them in your underwear or tee-shirt drawers to make your skin smell delicious.

Castor Oil on Hair
Do one or the other:
1) Put a couple drops of Castor oil in your shampoo. It cleanses and moisturizes hair and also helps thicken and protect it from damage. It will make your hair shiny as well!
2) Deep-condition once a month by applying Castor oil to your hair from roots to ends. Massage the scalp before putting on a shower cap. Afterwards, leave it on for a few hours or preferably overnight. When you wake up in the morning, wash off the residue with water, and shampoo your hair as you normally do.

Spray body spray into your hairdryer
Spray body spray into your hairdryer filter vent (in the back, opposite the part where the hot hair comes out). It makes the smell stay in your hair, since it's going in when it's wet and drying out. You only have to do it once every week, and it's only a spray or two.

Invisible

She can’t see the way your eyes light up when you smile
She’ll never notice how you stop and stare whenever she walks by
And you can’t see me wanting you the way you want her
But you are everything to me

And I just wanna show you
She don’t even know you
She's never gonna love you like I want to
You just see right through me but if you only knew me
We could be a beautiful miracle unbelievable instead of just invisible

There’s a fire inside of you that can’t help but shine through
She’s never gonna see the light
No matter what you do
And all I think about is how to make you think of me
And everything that we could be

Like shadows in a faded light
Oh we’re Invisible
I just wanna open your eyes and make you realize

I just wanna show you she don’t even know you
Baby let me love you let me want you
You just see right through me
But if you only knew me
We could be a beautiful miracle unbelievable instead of just invisible

She can’t see the way your eyes light up when you smile

This is SO adorable! I absolutely LOVE this!

Blessings are AWESOME! :D

I don't mean to have one of those "I'm better than you moments..." cause this is really not what I'm doing here...I just want to express how blessed I've been recently. I am definitely not a perfect person by far, but recently the cards have been in my favor, so I must be doing SOMETHING right!

My dad and my Heavenly Father always play a super big part in my life, but recently I've been able to see their hands in very specific parts of my life as well as in the people that I love. My mom has been blessed with finding an amazing guy that I really, really like. I just know that my dad has set this one up.

I've had the hardest time, in the past, with her dating. I mean, REALLY, I've been brutal. But this one is different. I just know that it's right. I'm so grateful for this.

Also, all the things with my new job...I had been searching for a job for some time, and I was beginning to loose hope. Now that I have finally found one, I know that this is the one that I have been waiting for. Everything worked out perfect, I know that I have had lots of help from up above.

I know I say this over and over again, but the past four years have truly been the HARDEST years in my entire life. It has always been one thing after another. Nothing seemed to be working out for my family and I, and I didn't know if I could ever truly get through it all. I'm definitely still working on that, but again...recently things have just been going 'right'.

I feel my Savior's love for me so strong right now and I KNOW without a doubt that my daddy is here holding my hand through it all. I miss him so much, especially during this time in my life when I'm opening a new chapter. There's lots of new and exciting things going on at this age that I'm at, and I just wish that I could share them with him, in a physical sense. I really could use a big hug from him. But at the same time, I know he is playing a HUGE part in all these blessings that my family and I have been receiving.

I love this gospel. I love my family. I love my dad & Heavenly Father. I know that I'm going to be OK, I've been so blessed.

Yes, I'm EMPLOYED!

It's official. I am the newest employee of Response Marketing Group. I work at the Provo location, right next to the Movies 8! I am so excited! It's a call center, but it is NOTHING like my old job...which I DID NOT like very much. At ROI Solutions, I had to do things that I didn't enjoy...like I couldn't refund more than X amount of people a day. That was sad when I had people call in crying, saying that they have no grocery money and I was the one that had to tell them, "sorry, I can't refund you because you agreed to our policy."

At Response, I am called an 'Education Consultant'. I call people, that have already said that they want to go back to school via Internet, and help them get in contact with three schools that would be a good match for them. I'm not selling anything, hassling anyone, or "scamming" anyone! It's grand! It's GREAT pay too, so I'm also very happy about that!

Now that I employed...I am going to MOVE OUT! I will officially be a "college student" and get the whole "college experience"! My wonderful cousin Katie (which I have talked about before) needs a new roommate! Guess who's MOVIN in! That's right, ME! I'm stoked. :D

The end.
